Best Sedona Photo Locations

The biggest question I am asked is what are my favorite locations to photograph in Sedona. I have created this guide to assist families in choosing the best Sedona photo location that meets their needs. I prefer easy locations where parking is not an issue. The list of the best Sedona photo locations that I love are below:

• Bell Rock
• Secret Slick Rock
• Mund Wagon Wheel (great if some family members cannot walk far)
• Crescent Moon/Red Rock Crossing for creek access

Bell Rock

Bell Rock is a butte just north of the Village of Oak Creek Canyon. It is about a 10 minute walk so please consider this if you have kids that may not be up for the hike. The parking lot can also fill up quickly at this location so I recommend weekday sessions or coming early to your session on the weekend. Nevertheless, it is worth the hike for these views of the red rocks that surround you. Secret Slick Rock

Secret Slick Rock trail leads to a wide ledge above Red Rock Crossing and is about a quarter of a mile walk. The last part is a slick downhill so consider this for kids or older members of the family that will be in the session. From this location, clients enjoy views of Cathedral Rock and Baldwin Butte. Munds Wagon Trail

Munds Wagon Trail is located close to uptown, making this an easy Sedona photo location to access. Also, I recommend this location for small children and elders who may not be able to hike the red rocks. It is a perfect spot to park and photograph!

Red Rock Crossing

If you are looking for lush greens along with the red rocks, then Red Rock Crossing is the perfect Sedona photo location for you. Sessions along the creek are a great way to cool off during the summer or capture the fall colors in the winter. Since this area tends to be crowded in the summer, it is about a half a mile hike to ensure that we are away from the crowds. This particular couple signed up for an Adventure Session and photographed at Red Rock Crossing, as well as Lover’s Knoll.
